Powerflex front LCA black series polybushes and engine mount

Discussion in 'Car Parts For Sale' started by GT4Zed, Nov 12, 2023.

  1. Got the car with Powerflex purple series bushes all round which I swapped to black series bushes last year. I’ve decided to swap them to the adjustable/offset bushes recently because its a full track car. Did not realise I had purchased and fitted caster offset bushes last year lol.
The upper right engine mount insert bush came with the car. I’m upgrading to black series inserts. All bushes are still in very good condition with no damage as shown in the pics.

  6. Powerflex engine mount bush sold.
Willing to accept reasonable offers for the LCA bushes.

  7. How do the PF black series bushes feel mate? Concerned they may be too aggressive for a fast road car

  8. IMHO not much discernible difference from the purple series but the performance difference is huge.

TBH you get a bit of NVH more from the polyurethane engine mounts especially the upper right(Driver side) mount and upper torque mounts. I would advise strongly against black series insert bush on the upper right engine mount(the std yellow insert bush is perfect for fast road daily) and I recommend you keep the oem upper torque mount.
For me the gear changes with the black series insert and uprated urethane mounts is just so crisp and the front end feels more responsive to quick direction changes( I’ve got Coolerworx shifter and Mtech shift thingy as it use to feel notchy at times before with only the lower torque mount and yellow insert)

My car is full track only. I drive only to tracks/Ring and the odd B road blast so I can tolerate it because the performance is worth it but it’s harsh a hell. I will be selling my black series set up for monoball which will be similar but I’ll still keep the mounts and I expect everything to be the same or worse ).

To sum it up: black series ok for fast road/daily and better than purple especially the adjustable types imho. Lower vibratechnic
/evol/airtech torque mount and upper right yellow insert and factory upper torque mount also very ok. And don’t forget reinforced gearbox mount bolt or swap to the oem updated type.
