265 Check injection system - P2263

  1. Hello All, looking for some help.

I believe the check injection system error message and code P2263 are fairly generic warnings. Ive read as much as I could find but not really getting any potential answers.

So about a week back this code first showed, it was after testing my newly fitting brakes and suspension on a very hot day and a pretty demanding drive. No issues with the car, performing well but this light was on.

Using the Torque app which wouldnt read the codes but clear this seemed to do the trick.

Then yesterday while at Brands Hatch later in the day at around 30 degrees the light comes up again. Car still performing perfectly well. No limp mode, issues with power etc. This time i used Car scanner which picked up the P2263 code. I cleared it and carried on with the track day, Driven 150 miles home and zero issues.

So on this basis im not concerned that its something serious however something is triggering this. As mentioned i have no performance issues, no misfires etc. The only slight thing ive noticed is that as the turbo spools up and you hear it sucking in air their is a slight scream noise coming from the engine bay. Ive notice heard this before but have recently removed the filling in the airbox, fitted a panel filter and removed the under bonnet sound deadening. This has made everything a little louder so it could have been a noise that already exists.

Anyway its only happening when the engine is really hot, after an extreme blast. Never in any other time has it appeared. 99% of my driving in the car is exuberant so its only been on those very extreme drives (suspension/brake testing and track).

Not sure if the description above will help but any ideas? Im suspecting a worn out recirc which has been on from new on a 2012 with 79k.

    thanks Dan

  2. Boost control valve. N75. That’s where I’d be looking first.

  3. Easy to fit?

  4. Yes. It’s a boost related fault code and those can play up a bit so it’s worth checking. The slight scream noise could be a couple of things. Slight air leak some where or hopefully less likely if the bearings start to go in the turbo that can cause a screeching type noise.
Do you have the rs monitor you could keep an eye on the boost pressure when it throws the fault? Or the torque app would also let you monitor this.

  5. ive ordered a Renault oem boost control so will just change it out.

I have both rs monitor and torque app, would be great to know what ill need to be looking for. Lets hope the scream noise isnt the turbo. I take it a turbo rebuild is likely the same as just upgrading to a hybrid etc.

but car is performing very well so im not thinking its a turbo issue.... i hope

  6. I know it was a ehile back but did you resolve it? I have the same. No feeling of performance loss, but every pull at about 4k+ revs it seems to throw a code. Car drives fine

  7. yes exactly the code just appears when i pull above 4k+ rpm did you solve it?

  8. No mate, not tried anything really yet but I keep getting it come up as boost now. Might get it vacuum checked as maybe a seal is gone. Still full power it feels like
