Just joined here to ask if anyone can shed some light on an issue I'm having with my 2011 250 cup. My track rod ends are f'd, I ordered a set of eBay as I'm currently out of work, they didn't fit they were 210mm where as the ones fitted are 250mm. So I ended up sending them back and purchased some from ktec. They sent me out some which arrived today but they are exactly the same size as the ones I got from eBay. Now I'm waiting on ktec to get back to me tomorrow as the last email I got was that they would measure a MK3 rs tomorrow In the workshop to see the size of them. Has anyone else had this problem ? . So confused.
I have had the same problem. Ordered a set from Autodoc using Renault part numbers, they sent the wrong ones, so i ordered another set using my Reg number, eventually got a returns slip and posted the first ones back, the second set arrived they were exactly the same as the first ones. So they went back with a attached note. Then i ordered a pair from Ktec, that was on the 19th of July, after a few weeks i called them, they were going to look into it and call me back, nothing for 2/3 weeks, so called again, told me they were out of stock and expecting delivery soon. I called them again on the 14th September and was told they were still waiting delivery, but they said they had an aftermarket supplier that was shipping out soon, so i agreed to have whatever arrives first, i was told the aftermarket ones were the same price as the genuine ones (Really). Got a message yesterday about a delivery from Ktec they arrived today and an invoice with the part numbers, so onto Ebay to find that the ones they are sending being charged at £45 each, Ebay £16.75 and free delivery, then i saw the dimensions listed, 210mm, the right ones are supposed to be 265mm. I will be on the phone to Ktec in the morning I have just ordered some from RPD £45 each Part numbers are Nearside (left) 485202698R and offside (right) 485203894R
Yep exactly the same as me , they told me they were on back order from Renault and couldn't give me a date when they're be in so offered me the aftermarket ones which are bilstein I believe. They are identical to the ones I got from eBay which were £22 for the pair. Ktec refunded me £20 because I told them I'd found the same bilstein ones online for £21 each.
I'm going to get a refund and never use them again, they have gone downhill since being under new ownership.
I spoke to someone in parts at 9am this morning, told him after all this time of waiting and receiving the wrong parts that i'm not happy, he said he would look into it, i told him not to bother and send me a refund, was supposed to be sending me a return slip to return the wrong ones, nothing yet
I emailed them this morning , said I wasn't happy. They're sending me a return slip and said they should have the genuine ones in mid next week so theyle send them out asap
+1 for RPD, fitted to mine no issues and delivered next day. Constantly hearing bad stories about Ktec parts department these days since the switch in ownership, the only reason I can find that people still order from them is that they seem to have stuff listed as in stock and cheaper than RPD/Kam Racing etc, but then they don't actually have stock. Don't know how a company so big with all the technology we have available these days can't just do a stock take and update real time inventory on their website.
First time i have bought anything from RPD, but after there very prompt and efficient service i will be using them again. I paid slightly less for them from RPD as they were on offer and they are much cheaper than Kam racing. I am with you on the bad service at Ktec now, they were really great before, to the point they took a set of forged pistons out of a kit for me. It's not hard to have live stock control, i deal with many companies that use this system, they can also tell me they have stock in other branches, so they can get it transferred for next day delivery. They were supposed to be sending me a returns label, that's not been sent, so yet another phone call tomorrow
