K-tec panel filter

  1. Hi all just wondering what your opinions are on the ktec panel filter for £34, I just can't justify paying £200+ for an induction kit at the moment, they do seem reasonably priced tho.

  2. Pipercross panel is same but I don't know why you have them so expensiwe. In Poland pipercross panel filter cost me someting about 10GBP

  3. That's cheap mate n it's because England like to tax the arse off us haha

  4. I dont think you'll see much if any improvment from the standard paper filer power wise but that bit more air flow and the fact it can be washed and oiled means it'll last years compared to the oem part.

Id go for thr k&n panel filter if you can find one as they will outlast the foam filters and are easier to clean.

  5. ahh right so you think it would be worth saving up for an induction kit then Dave? If so which one would you go for itg or ktec?

  6. I agree with Dave, the only real benefit is the lifespan of them, cotton gauze types ( K&N, BMC, Green etc ) are both easier and quicker to clean and outlast the foam types.

  7. Id just get a replacement panel filter and save the money for a remap if your after more power.

  8. I've got pipercross panel filter from rst sounds nicer with the Airbox mod but no noticeable performance increase
