That core design is renowned for struggling on track. Original radiator design only, or there’s a few aluminium aftermarket options available.
I thought Renault had stopped supplying? I’ll ring RPD and check Can you direct me to an after market aluminium unit that’s worth fitting ? Thanks
A mate is using one from eBay, think it’s GT performance or something like that. Been fine on track at Spa and a few uk days. The Nissens/ valeo/ whatever core is not the same design as the original rad and does not offer the same cooling efficiency. They’re fine on the road but can’t keep up on track, it’s well documented.
Thats my son asking the same question How well did the GTP alloy item fit ? I’ve also seen an alloy one by Winner but I’m sure I read somewhere that is was poor fit and performer.
i bought one of the alloy radiators but the outlets weren't welded in the centre of the holes and some of the holes weren't drilled to the same size of the outlets
which did u buy the GTP one ? Did you use it or scrap it ? Are all the ally ones made by the sale Chinese manufacturer ?
direnza, sent it back, i think there all from china forge used to sell a mk2 radiator, maybe worth asking if they can make one to order
The MK3 rad from Forge is £1044 + VAT so I guess the MK2 would be similar - don’t think I’ll get that past the boss !!
Well that’s a new genuine Renault radiator fitted I was told I had the last UK stock item but they are still available from France
