Hey folks, Not been around for a while . . . are there still many 225's about? I'm pulling my 225 Cup out of storage after 5 or so years just wondering what checks I should do before I fire her up. Just looked at the history and it's been 9 yrs since the timing belt so I guess that is one of the priorities. Will change engine oil, oil filter, fuel filter, coolant, aux/fan belt, spark plugs (might just need a clean), fresh tank of 98 ron, maybe some penetrating oil down into the cylinders . . . Anything else I've missed? Also where is everyone getting the above parts from these days? Any tips on certain parts/brands etc.? Ta, Rich
Cambelt will need doing too. After changing oil disconnect coilpacks and injector plugs and crank it on the starter to prime oil system before fire up. I bet it will be sound.
Yeah Cambelt/Timing Belt . . . although I just haven't got the tools where I am. Do I pay to get it towed or take chance and drive it slowly to my mates garage . . . hmmm
