R26 Help - Correct R26 Radiator ?

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by Matt9566, Mar 2, 2022.

  1. I need a new radiator for my R26 and have been told by my usual parts supplier that the OEM one is no longer available from Renault - I have no reason to disagree as it's his job and always very helpful but I've done some searching and found 2 Valeo ones that match the OEM part numbers I've found searching on here.

Could someone just confirm if either of these are the correct OEM part ? (I think they're the same but the description is brief on Mister Auto and not recognising my reg.)

I really want to go OEM as I've heard cooling issues on aftermarket ones.

    Thanks in advance

  2. I bought a Nissens one from Euro Car Parts, can’t fault it at all

  3. The valeo aftermarket are different design to oem and basically the same as any cheap aftermarket rad with the larger bars. I was dissapointed when i waited ages for one to turn up and was different to oem.

If its a road car however it will work fine, just no good for track use.

  4. Thanks for the info, appreciate it!

I've just seen this on Facebook - It might have been you who posted it actually.

Not a track car, just want no coolant leaking out!

My parts supplier has suggested the Mahle aftermarket one which is cheaper than the Valeo aftermarket and just a bit more than the Nissen one so will go for that. Just wanted to check as I like to stay OEM where I can.

  5. No problem. The nissens rads are usually decent quality, id prob go for that for road use. Ive just looked at the mahle rad and it looks to be the same large bar type as the nissens rad, so probably wont be any different apart from cost more.
