Hello, My car has quite a bad brake judder (to the point where the dash starts shaking) when the brakes are hot. When cold there is not really a problem, maybe a little bit of shaking, but you won't notice if your not focusing on it, but when they're hot, they start to shake quite bad. This already happens when driving fast on B-roads. It's coming from the front, and I don't think it's warped discs as its not doing it when the brakes aren't hot. I already replaced the discs and the pads. The hub surface is clean, so no problems there. After changing, it was good at first, but after they got hot while driving, it started doing it again. I have the grooved brembo HC discs, and brembo brake pads. I have bedded them in by doing 8 firm 60mph-15mph stops. Prior to that I heated them up a little when driving to the road where I could do the bedding procedure. Anyone experienced this before and knows what's the problem?
I had same problem when I had slotted discs. The grooves fill up with pad and does something weird to the disc and was horrendous for me to on track. I've changed to plain disks and never had problem in 2 years now Sent from my SM-G981B using Tapatalk
Hi, I have exactly the same problems on my 275. After fitting new discs and pads, they are perfect as long as you need them only for normal road use or maybe a litte more. If you operate hard after some Hockenheim laps ( I`m German) they are getting horrible, always after getting hot. In cold condition they are exactly as Pth stated. And my suggestion was also to switch to non-slotted discs, I supposed that the slots maybe the problem. With them, the heat transfer along the surface maybe poor and the sharp edges after some driven mileage stimulates the disc to judder. I would much prefer drilled discs, does anyone know where to source? If not available, where to source discs without slots? I´m really disappointed about the brakes with Brembo calipers and 340 discs, but I seem to be the only who complains. I always have troubles with the brakes in Hockenheim. Would be happy if this will be fixed with non slotted ones.....
I concur about the brakes, one of my pads got annihilated at Donington Park... Chap at the track advised me to change the discs for smooth rather than drilled and grooved
09.A752.11 is the part number for plain discs. Combine those with some upgraded pads, fluid, and braided lines and you are good to go. They can take a lot of abuse. The grooved discs are shit and ruin pads.
till now, I didn´t find a source not even in the net with non-slotted discs. All Brembo discs seems to be slotted. And I didn´t find drilled discs. Normally, the bores of the drilled discs are countersunked and wouldn´t supposedly cause any judder.
It's a Brembo part number. 09.A752.11 for the front, 08.A753.37 for the rear Renault part numbers are 402060012R and 402023273R. But they are much more expensive because they come in a Renault box, despite being the same parts
Yes , I payed 500 € for a complete set of discs and pads front and rear at Brembo. The non slotted discs are 56 € / pair !!!
