  1. Hi Guys.

Just curious as I have seen a lot of people complaining about the factory radio. And a few people who don't notice anything wrong with it.

Is it a particular radio/model/year that people have issues with?

Personally I don't notice any difference between the one in my 2013 265 compared to any of the aftermarket ones I have done in other cars or the factory on in the wife's 2020 Astra.

  2. You probably wont notice any difference between what you have an other factory ones. An after market headunit doesnt normally fix the issues either, it might give the speakers a little extra power but not anything that will make much difference.

The upgrade that people like to do is change the speakers for better quality ones but more importantly add an amp so that the speakers have the correct power to perform better.

Keeping the standard head unit is fine, finding a kit that powers a small subwoofer and can also power the 4 speakers is the ideal.

I currently have Focal speakers and a focal underseat subwoofer/amp. the sub/amp also power the speakers and actually the sound is really good. The only other modification would be some sound deadening inside the doorcards.

All of this is a fairly inexpensive and easy way to improve the standard setup but also keeping it looking original.
