Good morning all, I have been trying to resist posting pictures of my R26 until i have actually picked it up because i only managed to grab two quick snaps from my phone. I get the car on Thursday, and i can't wait. I have already bought a few bits and bobs for it. Heres a little background. Previously when i was 19 i owned a LY R27, at the time i was working for Arnold Clark in Car Sales. One of my fellow salesman owned a LY R26. I always seen the transition from Clio to Megane being the step i wanted to take. However being young and foolish i ended up with 9 points on my driving license and subsequently had to sell my Clio and not progress to the Megane. The R26 i have bought, is incidentally the same car my mate owned. Very small world. He sold the car after 1 year to move onto the company car scheme, and sold the car to a doctor. That was in 2008. The doctor has owned the car since then, and has only put on 20k in 5 years. The car has FRSH, and original parts replaced onto it. So enough chat and here are the two pics i took. More to follow when i pick her up. Things i have bought: Forge dump valve BMC Panel Filter HID's & replacement bulbs all round New headunit with iPod connection Remap booked with eTune Will put my private plate on too. Future plans: Exhaust system and i will see how i feel after that.
Oops! I forgot to update this thread. So here we go. I picked her up on the 23rd of Oct. Some phone pics after my first clean: Fitted my eTune sticker after i got my remap done: The car ticked over 30k on saturday: Got my docs back for my private plate, so put the new regi plates on: I have been off today so cleaned her inside and out. Took one quick photo before i retreated back indoors from the cold: I'm still waiting to get my HIDS, LED Sidelights and Front Silvertec bulbs fitted. Hopefully get these fitted at some point next week.

Thanks Mark. I know it bugs me too. Although i'm looking into getting a decat and exhaust system in the new year so might just wait until then.
Productive day today. Hoovered, Washed and Clay bar the Megane today. I think it was the first time it's been Clay bar'd because it was very dirty. All in preparation of a Meguiars 3 step on thursday. Looks much cleaner already. I've got a Milltek decat and cat back system awaiting to be fitted to the car. Hopefully get this fitted within the next week
Special delivery today HIDs and upgraded bulbs have been fitted up front. No pics as yet. Decat and cat back system getting fitted on friday, and then down to RS Tuning the following friday.
my cars not booked in, as iv got a few things to do, but my mate Dazzler is getting his 250 mapped, so said i would go down with him...hes booked in for 10am though.
I'll miss you guys by a day, I'm booked in on the 13th. Epic car by the way! I'm waiting for rst exhaust coming out and a sports cat, bigger injectors and then a map tweak ;-)

Not stage 2 untill next year if I still have the car that is! I desperately want some of those springs though.
Yeah iv bought a set as well, but want new shocks, so ill buy them once im back from holiday this month.
That's right in fact i remember now. I was contemplating that myself but the car has only done 32k so feel absolutely fine. Who you getting to fit yours? My regular mechanic said he's not touching them lol So i'm gonna take it to Kenny Brown Motor Engineering in Hillington
Ill be fitting them myself mate. Its not a bad job if your handy with the spanners... my cars at 42k now, so ill ne changing the shocks while im there to make sure everything is perfect.
I spoke to with Paul and he said he wouldn't put on the bigger injectors for stage 1. If i decide to go stage 2 at some point then i'll defo get them. I doubt i will go stage 2 though.
Thought you were going stage 2 as you already have a etune map... stage 2 feels a little better in 2nd & 3r gear, but i would recommend fitting a hybrid turbo if your wanting a decent power increase and bet the injectors done at the same time
Just not really happy with the etune one mate, and getting the decat on too so need a new map. I think if i do go stage 2 then it will be with a hybrid turbo also, but that's a big if. haha
Gets easier the more you do them. Iv found removing the top stabiliser mount allows the engine to rotate a bit more and lets you twist the cat out of place.
Home from my trip to RSTuning today. Recorded 275.9 bhp at the fly, 232 bhp at the wheels and around 290 torque. Very pleased. Sorry for the poor quality iPhone pics
