R26 Problem adding 3.5mm aux to stereo

Hi guys,

I bought a Connects2 CT29RN02 cable in the hope that it would add a 3.5mm aux to my Update List stereo. Fitted it ok but pressing the 'source' button just gives me radio each time. Any ideas?

Car is a 58 plate R26.

Jocco, i have 3 wires coming out of the green connector, white, red, black. Hope this helps

 

The sound was great. I was really disappointed with the stereo when listening to FM Radio but the aux with an MP3 player is really quite good!
Do these cars have a poor antenna or something because my radio reception is very bad in areas that I know work fine in other cars?

 

It looks like a standard stiff wire antenna to me.
