Only 2 of the 72k cars with brakes and wheels. if I got one with the wheels I would probably store then till resale. To scared abouf damage. I think the ideal spec would be red wheels with carbon ceramic brakes. Still plenty for sale low Mile's or unregistered. We're you both out in track?
Whichever way you look at it, £70k+ is a lot for a hatchback. I'd imagine buying a new one and throwing £20k at it would leave you with a much more capable car, or even less than that! I've never had carbon ceramic brakes or been in a car with them, but is fade that much of an issue that a Megane would need them?
As a car it differentiates its self with special bits as well as weight loss. Regular cars can strip to get the weight loss. Hence lots of r26r reps. I think the carbon brakes would give it an extra soecial element, how likely in your life are you going to 've likely to own a car with carbon brakes, never mind a mud suzed hatch. Be interesting taking it into Reno dealer for some warranty work on ohlins or carbon brakes,
It's the need to have them is my issue, braking is about the only thing you really only use on track at its potential.
Yes, both on the track. He only did three sessions, complained about fuel surge when less than half a tank. Nice guy, although much faster I prefer look of my R26R.
You can find shots of both cars and another Mégane on this link https://www.flickr.com/photos/opent...a7hJP4o1eXVuXstKfUJUinyK3GabPhRJO0jddj92VzUYM
Nice pic. Good mix of cars. Pretty much all appreciating performance classics. You go to goodwood much? I only live about 20 miles away. Uses to pop my head in to see what was on. But i am not one for track days.
Once or more a month, I am 20 minutes away also..Brands later this month and back to Goodwood 19 July
