so on my 250 i have a19 row oil cooler behind the bumper on the pass side and the original washer bottle on the drivers side. i did not want to loose either. so i have done this method. trail and error really. so as you can see i cut holes in the front bumper. then on the rear fitted 50mm duck to 90 50mm elbows through holes i drilled in the underside of the bumper. i then routed the duct as shown. will see how effective it is once on track lol. also its higher than the front splitter so in theory so be safe lol. p.s i inserted 50mm waste pipe in the ends and painted black to stop the pipe folding in and fitted mess to stop marbles finding there way through
nice bit of ingenuity there, be nice fit some type scoop at the intake and really ram air down pipe also to note after conducting some air flow tests involving 3 different types mesh and industrial power fan the type mesh you're used across the FMIC was best a slowing air flow (or best at blocking air flow) best air flow was using fine chicken wire type mesh
Nice work! I've just ordered some ducting to do the same, although I was going to do the same as Jamie and run it through the arch liners as I've not got an oil cooler. I like this idea, though. Tempting! Link to the duct I ordered: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Revotec-...Fits-51mm-Duct-Hose-152mm-x-51mm/310985770918 (It's a 'Revotec Rectangular Intake Duct - Fits 51mm Duct Hose 152mm x 51mm' in case the link doesn't work after the auction ends)
