So last week I went to Madeno Racing for their clubsport conversion of the Öhlins R&T dampers. Everything they do is custom made so basically you can get and let them build whatever you want. They made me non adjustable topmounts with a build in offset to -2.1camber and, what i like, the caster went from 6.8 to 8.2. This car is also my daily and I don't always want to drive the car with a lot of camber. The extra caster gives me an active camber angle. So i do have the benefits of extra camber when driving corners, without having the downsides of running a lot of camber all the time With the topmounts they fitted linear Eibach racing springs (81kg) with helpers on the front dampers. To make the new springplatforms fit they had to cut (turn) of the top of the damper shaft: they cut of the little metal bits of the strut to win a little in ride hight: They drilled extra holes in the bottom of the damper to make sure there isn't any resistance of compressed air that's build up when the dampershaft is going in. new (smaller) internal bumpstops and the offset topmounts: porn: The front is now 25mm lower without losing any of the allready limited travel of the dampers. on the rear we just fitted H&R lowering springs. (52kg -25mm) For now i just love the grip on the front axle, the traction out of the 2nd and 3th gear corners is bizare, understeer is no longer an issue. For the rear axle i might add some shims for a bit of camber, we'll see.. Big thanks to Leo and the guys from Madeno Racing, they're just the best when it comes to racing suspensions
