1. Hi all!

I picked myself up a black R26 this weekend. You may recognise the car if you've been on the for sale posts on here.

It's a 65k milage, full KTEC stage one with supporting hardware and it's been immaculately maintained. Absolutely loved the drive home from Pete's place near Brighton and the car reminds me of an EP3 I had a few years back and since then nothing has come close until this.

Plans are to keep everything as it is for now but it needs a new radiator because of a small leak so I've got one from Renault on it's way and a gearbox oil change will be done using genuine oil from Renault too.

I only plan to remove the rear seats and get a k brace as I won't be using the rear seats and I think it looks great with them removed and a brace in.

But here it is! Pictures are from the sale post as I haven't took my own because the weather has been terrible.

I may eventually take it on track too but we will see.

    Thanks for looking!

  7. was speaking to the guy who was selling this, asking me advice over PM.It certainly didnt hang around long, considering it was up for strong money.Certainly looks like its been well cared for.Lots of experience with these cars on here,so dont be afraid to ask anything.

  8. Decent ones are hard to find I guess so money is looking stronger than previous. my earlier R26 was 3.5k 3 years ago and the same spec ones are now 4.5k

  9. The only downside to a black car.. I did want a LY one but couldn't turn down the overall quality of the car.

Absolutely, I was after a nice example and was looking around the price he was asking but I didn't want just any R26 - it needed to be the right one with history and mileage. Which made me go for this. Appreciate that, will always keep an eye out on here

  10. i suspect you wont find more than 5 better cared for examples in the Uk.
And as i said to the seller...if you buy a cheaper example, that doesnt have the level of maintainece this one has....the difference in money will only have to be spend after to put right the problems.
These cars can become money pits if neglected, very quickly..

  11. Absolutely - I've done that with previous cars and lost lots of money. It's not a nice situation to be in. I was fully aware of issues with these cars and like you say they can be money pits as parts aren't that cheap really

  12. yep...RPD will become your friend over time!..consistently good prices on oem parts.

  13. Luckily I work at a Renault main dealer so I will always get parts at cost haha

  14. Probably still be cheaper from moto dynamic in Poland though, most of their prices are 2/3rds or less than uk ones.

  15. Welcome to the place! Nice unit have you there, and I totally agree with the mates says. A cheap unit can turn a real nightmare and make you hate the car.
So, you´re car mechanic too?? That´s great for the fuelwasters like us!

  16. I've not heard of them, have they got a website ?

Thanks mate! I was but not now. I just work in the service department now! I have worked on them a bit before though and will be changing the radiator in the workshop on Saturday!

  17. moto-dynamic.com mate.

  18. Thanks mate, will take a look and see how they compare to discounted prices I get.

  19. I got all 4 drop links and anti rotation links delivered from Poland for £90 and both front wishbones for £136!
