Megane 3 rs loses control on the road

  1. Hello good day
I own an M3RS and live in Chile, my car has had a problem for some time that I have not been able to request.

When I go on the highway especially above 80 km / h you can feel a very unpleasant effect on the behavior of the car, when accelerating it goes strongly to the left but when releasing the accelerator it goes to the right also strongly.

I changed tray bushings, upper and lower linkage, steering terminals, trunnion pivot joints, shock absorbers, cups and the tightening of the entire front axle was checked but I still cannot solve the problem.

Does anyone have an idea what a problem it could be?

    Thank you very much

  2. do you have a Slip diff?

  3. Excuse me, but what do you mean?

    The car has lsd

    Cheers

  4. that what i meant limited slipp differential or lsd also called slip diff sometimes,
have had a 4 wheel tracking check recently?
are your front or rear calliper piston free to move and not stuck?

  5. Ok I understand.

The four tires are new (3,000 km approximately), I'm going to do the test by putting other front tires but I don't think that's the problem.

The brake is free, the piston is not locked, I can check it when I drive the car at speed and put it in neutral, it continues straight and does not tend to lose speed abruptly or lean to any side.

The problem occurs when accelerating the car and then releasing the pedal, it is like an effect similar to that of a boat, when accelerating it goes to the left and when releasing it goes to the right.

    Thank you

  6. I had exactly the same issue on my wife’s Nissan Juke, which turned out to be worn wishbone bushes/ ball joints.

  7. Thanks for the answer, I changed the arm bushings and the ball joints of the pivot but I did not replace the ball joint that goes in the tray (it is the only thing that I have not replaced)

    Greetings

  8. Ours went left under load and pulled right when you lifted off, was horrific to drive!

  9. When the bushes went on my Renault traffic van it would do the same thing and that was with half the power!

  10. yes, the experience is horrible

  11. I changed the hushes for some black powerflex thinking they were bad but the same thing happens to the car.

Make sure the arm bolts are really tight and also the subframe bolts, also might be worth changing the twist links if you haven't already

  13. Disconnect one of the drop links and go for drive

  14. Hello have same problem did u solve it

  15. I polybushed my R26 refurbished wishbones and it was really disconcerting to drive. Eventually managed to work out it was the gold metal polybush insert that is pressed into the wishbone that was moving up and down in the wishbone changing the geometry. Possibly could have got it welded in place but just fitted brand new wishbones pre-fitted with new rubber bushes and no more problems.

I had one of my Polybush's split when on a trackday, interesting drive home.
I replaced them with standard bushes, you can't really go wrong with the standard ones.
