  4. Impressive work! [emoji1303]

What’s the paint you’ve used on the wishbones?

  5. VHT wrinkle paint, I find this stuff very hard wearing and will take knocks without paint flaking off

  6. Great work but I hope you didn’t buy the washer bottle from Renault for about £50 when it’s the same as any 1.6 Megane has, I got mine for a fiver!

  7. or scenic..got mine from ebay for peanuts.saves a fk load of weight to when filed with water..

  8. all credit to you for putting so much effort and money into a old megane.Inferno orange is still the best colour ever..looks great

  12. Also before the bulbs it went off to the garage to have the engine pulled and and checked over also to sort out the cambelt while it was out and any other seals that needed doing, fresh MOT, Tracking and air condition re-gas, the second to last picture of one of the mechanics losing the will to live trying to bleed the clutch 7C1714F7-7697-449F-9B3A-16D1582033C2.jpeg 2C511FC3-E23F-4400-B77A-B6DD15871761.jpeg 91CB9DA3-442E-4F7C-A504-2EAFEB69FA94.jpeg 60B56BE5-E146-4215-A4E2-A5CC0DDFC279.jpeg

    easiest way in my opinion
If you want to do any work like cambelt, clutch and a must for a head off, then engine out.
Can then work in comfort with it on the floor :sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses:

    Still love the inferno colour

  16. Agree! When you finish that inferno will be a great car. I like the way you take. Cheer up man!
And like so much the hood stick by the way!!:tonguewink:

  17. Quick update! Had a custom Vband exhaust made! 195A5A59-4AEE-4420-9E0B-68FAA179A76A.jpeg 695733FF-53D7-4C4E-8E00-BBF332340227.jpeg D05335B4-B666-46ED-AA71-AF0D8E89806B.jpeg CDF055BA-9A9E-469B-A929-46DFAD5F1B23.jpeg 2FD48CEC-7D11-4E75-8AAA-286671BE77C1.jpeg 99E61DBE-AC26-46B4-9440-95DE19322B97.jpeg 2A6C652E-AA45-408A-9950-69942258744F.jpeg B2D52FBC-671B-44D7-89B7-708AD7805E5D.jpeg 3EFB55D7-AB2B-42BD-9403-5B3B8E16D699.jpeg 86F5D37F-F046-46AE-BCF8-054AF3B6947E.jpeg

  18. lovely:tongueout::tongueout:

  19. Small mod today, replaced the dipstick with a newer model one as the olds ones tend to snap off inside there A6BCF1D2-417A-4A63-B9C0-3CC784BD3534.jpeg

  20. I also fabricated 2 top protectors for the rear bumper, not everyone’s taste I’m sure but better protect it a little with a bigger exhaust now 38553987-4703-49A8-B227-F56A1C14A288.jpeg D7A446B7-4A37-4856-8A83-C2D0196F244E.jpeg D7A446B7-4A37-4856-8A83-C2D0196F244E.jpeg 8326192E-AE16-4EE9-A448-97EE544BF850.jpeg

  21. That is the standard dipstick from the megane 3 right? Is it the same lenght as the crappy ones in the megane 2? Seems to be a bit shorter in comparison

  22. it is the same length pal just the photo make it look different and yes for a mk3

  23. Another addition, fitting one of these before the remap on the 17th as I hear these can be weak so upgrading to this one 67E39901-F513-4366-923F-83631DC77CD9.jpeg

  24. Update, I had the rear boot sprayed and de-badged the Megane badge, now all the rear is matched in, as most of these rear boots are different colours to the plastic trim that’s on there EDEF39E5-6B6F-41D0-B578-EE234F6DDAE2.jpeg

  28. Some good figures there on a stock lump.
What did the tuner think about the GPi cooler coping?
I have the same cooler on mine, and have seen reports its no more efficiant than the standard cooler, even with the bigger core.I notice when the weather is warmer, the car is definatly less responsive with the chinese cooler.

  29. funny you should mention it! Chris said the GPI coolers ain’t the best but they are better than standard ones, he said with an airtec cooler I would have seen 280+ as they are a lot better at keeping temps down, he said on track I may notice a slight drop in power but normal road driving will be fine, I may upgrade to an airtec tho

  30. Nice one mate!! Good looking those graphs hehe. I'm wondering how will be the torque curve with a megane 3 rs standard turbo unit and larger intake hard pipes

  31. i have seen tests where the temps are literally identical on the gpi unit ,
compared to the comedy tin can standard cooler, which was also fitted to the 175D.
Its only when you hold it in you hands you realize what a wafer thin thing it is...so its some achievement for the much larger GPI unit to be just as average. And like i said...when it was really hot,in the summer, after caning the car i could noticeably feel the car losing power...even more so than the standard cooler..As you say, ther smaller airtech cooler seems to be a good choice for meganes with this kind of power..

  32. Good number man! Torque lows a bit after 4500 revs. but you must to notice the difference. You have there a beautiful and fast machine. Take a look on your back by the way, with that AFR should be some flames!:tonguewink:

  33. This is crying out for a 250 turbo!

Great work, really nice looking motor you've got here.

  34. wont be worth the money for the little return it would give in power, if it’s forged it would be.

  35. So after what Chris said at EFI about if I take it on track a better cooler would be needed, I bought a Airtec cooler 70mm core BC57371F-3ADC-469A-83E3-D95CEA606826.jpeg 94C79D69-330E-42B6-B7B5-655A5BD5A3B3.jpeg 091FFAD4-A564-442B-A0CE-6824A13AEC2B.jpeg 843AA9ED-FE7D-4E86-A96D-F19300D36B94.jpeg

  37. I have a few little bits to do still to her but then it’s complicated really, I’ll have to find a new project soon ha

  38. Looks like a small bottle to me Andrew, standard one goes way down.

  39. it’s a small single pump one pal half the size
