Hello, Think this has been talked about before, but couldn't find a thread on it. Is there a map out there with power and torque curves like the one in the screenshot for the Megane? Basically a map that makes peak power near the redline. Don't really like the feeling of power dropping off after 5500 rpm. Thanks
In a word....NO the F4R engine factory redline is 6k rpm you can push further but never going see flat torque to the limit like your example of a 600 bhp nismo
You can’t compare a 3.8 V6 twin turbo to an inline 2L 4 cylinder, the gtr basically has twice the engine of a megane and the torque is phenomenal, I know I used to have one with 644bhp with 620lbft.
Hello! Yes there is. All you have to do is drop in a VR38DETT into the Megane. The power and torque is awesome. I can’t actually use it anywhere except in a burnout competition, but otherwise it’s great!
Not 100% tbh! I think the 250s have vvt so you may get a little more power but not sure where it'll begin to tale off! Re-map was at EFi in runcorn.
yes it would be nice to have power band all the way through the red line like an evo 8 or 9 but the megane engine just isn’t built for that unless you put an aluminium block in like they do in the supras laughing laughing...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Has anyone tried to take the running gear from a 4x4 kangoo and put it onto a megane? Or has anyone dropped the megane engine into a kangoo? That would be interesting!!
Aah, sorry, my bad. I thought it was about dropping the megane engine into a kangoo. I didn't know that made a significant difference in that operation whether it was a 2wd or 4wd car...
Yeah it's only the 4wd aspect I'm interested in! I've looked in the past and found that kangoo, but nothing that utilizes the 4wd! I can only imagine it's a ball ache or else there would be people out there who've done it!
Perhaps, surprised no one has tried it tbh! Maybe one day... Surprised no one seems to have done a rwd set up, maybe the parts from a v6 clio? Having said that, I imagine the running gear alone is worth more than a megane
