Took the 275 Trophy for a short warm-up yesterday, ran fine , everything normal until I got back home. Tick over was slightly slower as I pulled up in the drive, stopped it , but when I came back to it it just won't start, and EML is on . Thoughts ? Never happened before, done 17000 miles Cam sensor ?
Not sure if yours is the euro 6 ecu, or a "normal" one, but the things i would try first are the camshaft sensor, on the earlier engines they would still start if the crank sensor had failed, also it be worth pulling the fuel feed pipe off to see if there is fuel being pumped out and with some pressure, i have heard of 275's with fuel pump issues.
So, had diagnostics. Indicated crank sensor which I renewed tonight. Started immediately and 3 times after but then wouldn't start again. Just renewed cam sensor and so far it's perfect again, starting plenty of times and lovely smooth tick over Fingers crossed
Sorry for the Necro but i must say thanks for this thread, it solved my problem as well. Have a Megane III GT220 with the F4R874 that also just would not start sometimes, it could start and run on like 1 cylinder or just crank but no start and now in the end it never started just cranked with no error codes. changed the cam sensor and runs like a dream again. Hope it help someone else as well
