moving the staarter button to the right

this weekends project was to see if it was possible to change over the starter button and the 12 volt supply, It looks like it should work but its not that easy
The key is not in the middle of the console so the side of the start button needs to be cut away
and the hole in the main dash needs to be made bigger other than that not too bad a job

 

No the holes are different sizes in the cover, I cut the back off the starter socket then made the hole bigger where the 12v supply came from then welded the socket the cover with a soldering iron then glued it all round for added strength
the 12v supply I made ring from alloy drilling a 25mm hole in the centre and a lot of 2mm holes for the glue to come through
but the biggest problem is the hole in the dash is too near the key slot so you have to cut the side from the cover and
open the left side of the dash with a dremell
