Wings sticking out

Discussion in 'Exterior & Bodywork' started by RSMegane225, Jan 30, 2014.

  1. Hi when I bought the car I hadnt really noticed this so I must have snapped some clips somwhere when taking the bumper off but the wings now do not sit in flush with the front bumper.

Just wondering if anyone on here has had this and if there are any handy repairs?

    Cheers

  2. The bumper needs reseating. There are clasps just above the bumper and just below the lights.

  3. looks like mine

Yeah the clips are not in the right position or the wrong way round.

Just check for starters you have the screw that goes through? They do get quite loose with the bumper coming on and off so much - might be worth getting some new clips so it stays put!

  5. Any idea where these can be bought? gonna take the bumper off tomorrow and have a good look at the clips. Really annoying me, I can push them back into place but once i start driving the pop back out lol

  6. You don't need to take the entire bumper off. Just unscrew the 2 screws in the wheel arch to access the the side . Need to make sure the grey clip lines up with all other bits before putting the screw back thro.

  7. Mine is like this on the drivers side front but the passenger side front is perfect. I will try tomorrow what you have suggested to see if that solves this problem.

They're pence from Renault fella - as above no need for bumper removal.

Pull the wing out a little more and look at how it pushes into the recess of the wing - if you have the clips then you line up the arch liner, wing and bumper and screw through.

Wouldn't surprise me if they're missing on yours - I'm sure they're like 93p or something. or were!

  9. I concur with this. Mine was like this after Renault replaced my radiator under warranty. I kept pushing it back when it popped out and eventually found (when replacing a headlamp bulb) that the screw was not aligned as above.
