Smoke still in exhaust

  1. Turbo just been replaced , this is my second time out after about 30 miles ..

Is this amout of smoke normally trapped in exhaust after turbo failure?

After a few minutes on tick over it did clear when the temp comes down 20200605_205434.jpg

  2. Is it smoke or condensation, what does it smell of, if your turbo dumped oil down the exhaust system, its going to do that for a while

  3. Yeah it smells of hot burning oil ...

I tried to play 20 second video , but it' wont upload

You need to give a good pasting to get some real heat in the the exhaust and engine, also it might be worth taking the intake pipe off and seeing if there is oil smear on the inside of the pipe

  5. I defiantly got some heat in the engine this morning :grimacing:
I do think the smoke is slightly less this morning than last night .
tomorrow I'm going on a longer run so will see what happens then :relieved:

I will take the pipe off and check

Okay then, might not be what i was thinking about, thought there might be oil in the intake side because of the turbo issue you had.

  9. Shame I cant upload the video I took last night as it was really bad, but only dose it on tick over after a good ragging then after about 4/5 minuets sat on tick over it all clears
