Which Obd monitor

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by Scott Lewis Chambers, Dec 11, 2019.

  1. Hi,
Looking for a Obd monitor to check and clear errors. Anyone got one they actually own, that works well. I've seen a few on ebay.

I don't need an amazing garage spec one, just need one I can check and clear errors.
Have two I want to check error codes on.

Check ignition system error keeps popping up and going, now Its solid with a check engine light. Says check antipolution system now. I guess it's oxygen sensor, but I want to make sure. Idk if it's Actuator.

    Cheers.

  2. The car isn't in limp mode

  3. I have a ELM327 OBDII Bluetooth Torque Obd2 Adapter and use the paid for Torque phone app? Seems to read codes and can clear them. Thought it was worth a punt as it was cheap.

  9. you can keep it plugged in but the cover wont go back on because of how tight the port is against it. i just threw the cover in the arm rest storage and left the adapter plugged in. if you just want it for errors could be worth just getting a normal OBD2 reader. doesnt have the BHP, torque, boost etc gauges though.

ive got this for clearing codes. and i use the adaptor and app for the fun stuff

  10. I kinda want to keep an eye on my boost and everything as well. So I think it will be quite useful.
