Needs checking that its located properly as i think it can weep fuel if the tank is filled to the brim.

  4. Till now no smell, but I will see the problem hopefully at this weekend.

  9. Hey guys,

Do anyone know if the shift "cables" are adjustable like VW ant others?

I just clicked them back as I put the engine in

The shifters isn't that nice as it should.

No adjustment at all, they just click in, whats the problem is it stiff (not centring) is it side to side or forward and back ???

  11. I don´t know in 225 Megs, but in 250, in the cabin side, have adjustment only in side to side link. Maybe I´m wrong but remember seen like threads in the end of link.

  12. It have play (swinging left and right) but see a video on YouTube how I could fix that maybe that also could fix my little issue here

Everything goes without pressure in and out but its not really smooth.
And that only before it's warm. So if it's complete cold it's a little bit hard to put the first gear in after 10 km just not smooth and after 30 km everything goes very good. Gearbox is 40.000 miles old

Could also be only because the oil

I filled in kroon 75w90. Maybe I will go back to Renault elf or something. Need to change the driveshaft anyway

I thought there is something for adjustment =p

Is that oil fully synthetic oil ????
have you just replaced the oil as well ???

if you have just changed the oil it will take a bit to get the feel back

  14. Oh I see I maybe buy the wrong one it's 75w80

Gl4+ so I have no issue with the brass inside.

    There is written mineral oil.

I buy it with the knowing I would change it anyway soon and it's more for flushing =p

What would be your recommendation for the ND0?

All the Megane gearbox's mk2 and mk3 use a fully synthetic oil, the mineral oil is a lot thicker than the fully synthetic stuff.

It needs to say fully Synthetic on the bottle

If you want to flush it, then buy cheap fully synthetic

i can't remember what i have used, will get the can tomorrow and have a look

  16. Oh okay good to know.

As I filled the gearbox I was thinking my self it's thinner as I thought but okay maybe because it was 25 degrees :tearsofjoy:

I just need to found out if all driveshafts are same for the mk2 phases than I could order new driveshafts.

Okay just checked and it looks like the 225 and R26 drive shafts are all the same, the only one that's different is the Diesel Sport Mk2 (it has a mk3 gearbox)

Long shaft, right hand side number is 8200278603
Short shaft, left hand side number is 8200278602

Just google or Check Ebay for cross reference
