Hi all, My rs 250 has like a tinny rattle coming somewhere from the driver's side. I can only hear it when the window is down and there are buildings around for the sound to bounce off. It does not make the sound at idle at all. I have tried googling but all the answers say about the engine but it sounds fine. It does it on smooth roads and the suspension is all new. Help
if you could try and replicate the odd rattle on px side this would give you an odd-even rattle and cancel the sound out
Thanks is that normal in the image? I can see another with a nut on it and the 3rd I think I can see is right out of reach at the back.
This is down the side near the coolant tank. I assume this is meant to be missing a bolt? I touch this bit and it moves a lot. Not sure how it could be secured.
Yes there normal and there are 2 of them and 4 small blots, that's the bulkhead heat shield there, there should be a cover over the turbo, bolted to the rocker cover.
The only real way to sort it is to pull the engine out, once they start moving the holes wear so if you can get in there you will need some penny washers.
