Anyone on here changed the bearing n the aircon compressor pully ? I’ve bought the bearing and had a quick look from underneath but looks as though I need to completely remover the aircon pump. Is this right ?
Think it can be done but is very awkward, will be even worse if the clutch won't come off, once the clutch is off there is a circlip underneath then the pulley comes off with the bearing.
Yea that was my worry while trying to do it on my back. Need to drop the pump out then and get it on the bench.
that will be the easiest way, if the aircon is working, get it pumped down and the gas recovered, then removing it is just the belt, three bolts, the in and out pipes and the clutch wire. Give it a good soak with penetrating fluid overnight first.
