Help! Misfire ish

  1. Hello, new here...

This forum has helped me hundreds from old posts etc but this problem I can’t find anything that describes the exact problem as mine, so I’ve joined , here it is and Thankyou for any help

I have a forged r26, 630cc injuries etc etc renflashed a good years ago

it’s had a recent full service, belts etc spark plugs

after all the bad weather , I’m getting a misfire under throttle above 65 ish% nothing below that until idle where it misfires also ... after startup sometimes it’ll boost for a mile. Then boomb multiple misfireing like a heavy flat spot or cold limiter, if you plant it at low revs it does it at 2.2k revs and will continue revving but very badly

    ive had p0300
    I’ve had lambda 1
    Switched with lambda 2
    Now getting lambda 2

but as far as I know lambda 2 dosent do much?

it occasionally throws up a map sensor fault and goes into limp mode esp injection light ...

these have been changed with no luck and fully rewired

Plugs are normal , air filters dry,

I’m thinking fuel pump or injectors as got a “ misfire low fuel “ code

but it’s inconsistent , sometimes boosts perfectly after startup then just decides no, I’ve tried letting it warm up etc driving it miles and miles to get everything up to temps . I don’t usually let it go above 2800 cold btw ...
    Just for diagnosing reasons

  4. sometime a very dirty fuel filter can cause issues.

  5. Is it easy to check? The unit I mean as it’s all the one in the casing ?

  6. Tried a good one across them with no difference mate

  7. Checked there, the rod moves quite easy and has some side to side play, can hear what sounds like a rusty spring and seems like it has oil sweat on it near the top

  8. Fuel filter in underneath the fuel pump in the tank and cannot be changed unless you change the pump too.

Is your pump working ok in the tank, that another potential issue.
I see your car has bigger injectors and a remap, I know a few people changing their fuel pump with a swirl pot and a more powerful pump to help getting all that fuel to the engine as the std one might be weak. worth searching on the forum for some projects, that's one of them as an example: https://rsmegane.com/threads/uprated-fuel-system.13397/
