Pagid pads setup opinion

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by sergio, Mar 3, 2020.

  1. I'm looking to reduce the punishment of the disc and overheating and I'm looking at the Pagid pads.

    I come from RC8 and RC6 front, RC5+ back

maybe Pagid RST 3 front and RSL29 back ?

I know the braking power will be lower but I think will take more care with the discs

  2. PFC Zrated or above

I really liked them when fitted to my 225 (with 250 brakes) but hated them in the mk3 (PFC Zrated)

tried PBS and they don't work after a couple of laps, CL8's i use now and are very happy with them.

I ran that exact setup, Best I ever ran over countless pad compounds

RST can be a bit aggressive on discs though If you truly want long lasting disc life then RSL front and rear

The Z Rated pads have nothing on the others mentioned, Totally different ballgame in terms of stopping power and heat management

  6. PFC z rated maybe it's the worst pads i've been tested together with DS2500... Really don't work on track day...

  7. I I am convinced that it can be a qualitative leap in terms of trackday. I only use the car for trackday. I have ordered Mtec discs to test them. I like to try everything and then comment.

  8. We run RST3 fronts and 1144 rears

Have tried plain and groved Brembo HC front disks - prefer the grooved

Cracking pads, try to get some additional cooling air onto the brakes, they get hot when used hard

  9. you would be better with standard Brembo HC plain discs, and some nice pads like the one above mentioned.
What brake fluid do you use?

  10. We’ve been using millers 300+ Fluid with no real issues. We generally bleed the brakes / clutch after every track day (may be OTT but it seems to work)

  11. Tested planin and grooved original brembo with no diferences. Personaly i like grooved because help to evacuate the gas.

    I use RBF660 brake fluid
