  1. Hi everyone,

As some of you already know I’m currently testing the new Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport tyre in 235/40/18 size. I have a blog website which will contain all my reviews about the tyre and I have just published my second track review, check it out at: https://ep400.car.blog/2020/02/05/eagle-f1-supersports-on-track-finding-the-limits/

  2. Seriously considering these for wet/damp conditions and for any road use.

I'd buy them over the PS4 now tbf, There's a tyre test on the same car/conditions and driver and they are quicker in the wet, PS4 was actually 4th in thr test IIRC!

  4. They seem worth it now since the PS4S is not dropping in price.
Wish it was a bit further up the track scale and less road. Think I’ll go with the federal 595 as the car only comes out once a week.

  5. I'll be using these when replacing my Michelin 4 as the 4s in not in 18inch size.

If you want more track focused they do a supersport R, not sure what sizes.

  6. You can get the 4s in 18 now but these is equal to it. Perfect road tyre/wet. Not sure the R version is in 18

  7. Just had 4 fitted to my R26. Seem good an rim protection aspect looks pretty good to.

  8. been with F1 supersport for six months and prefer over PS4, price wise and performance give good edge over Michelin, also note F1 Supersport R (mixed road/track) and RS (full on track) are available just not in pedestrian sizes

  9. I would appreciate any experience for road use.
I am literally deciding between these Supersports and PS4 (PS4S are not in available in 18") although i know they are not exactly same in same category.

  10. Hello, Is it the sidewall /steering responce noticeably stiffer than ps4?

    Thanks

  11. Yes it is, noticeable quicker and firmer vehicle turn in on cornering plus very good wheel protection as bonus

  12. Anyone who’s after a set of these, Costco have got them on at a steal.

Have heard nothing but good things, of course from this thread and other reviews
Have had my eye on them for a while.. offer went live today as follows

    235/40/18
Approx £105 per tyre fitted, balanced and i think new valves maybe even new tpms but i could be wrong on last part and dreamt that bit
Buy 4 tyres, get £80 off total bill

So circa £340 quid, full set!

Offer is on for 19”s too, but are i think 130 a corner, but pos is you end up getting £100 off total bill.

i think the offer is limited to 2 full sets per customer and offer is on until first week of March. I’ll be buying a set, if anyone wants to take advantage, doesn’t have a Costco card and doesn’t mind travelling to Leeds Costco to get them fitted, let me know

    Cheers

I have ordered a set of Asymmetric 5's, these will be my road and wet weather track tyre, did have the asymmetric 3's before and they were fantastic and these are supposed to be better, lets hope so

  14. Wow that's cheap!

Going to have to look into that this week!

    Cheers for the heads up.

  15. Got these on the car today.

Was expecting to use them next week at Anglesey but the forecast is improving so will stick the ns2rs on if its dry.

  16. Have ordered mine today, should be fitting them on next Saturday

Enjoy Anglesey, be good to see go pro footage if your recording, especially if you end up running the supersports!

  17. The car is held together with cable ties and silicone, there'll be no go pro footage lol.

Forecast keeps changing so the supersport will probably get a run out at some point.

  18. Did you run with the Good Years in the end or ns2rs mate

  19. Both.

Was damp in the morning and ran the supersport, the grip was fantastic and we were one of the fastest things on track! They did start to go off a little after 4 or 5 laps but the track was drying all the time. Put the ns2rs on and they were horrendous compared to the supersport!

Once the track was dry I just ran the ns2r, didn't try the supersport on a dry track as I only want them as wets.

  20. Ran the supersports at Abingdon recently in heavy rain. Really good all day, with the Costco offer working out at something like £340 for 4 these are a bargain. I would rate above the PS4 I had previously.

  21. 340 is an amazing price too!

Mine were 440, I left it too late and wanted them before anglesey as the forecast kept changing.

  22. Fitted mine on the weekend!

Not really scrubbed them in yet, they sound really weird at low speeds / manoeuvring in and out of parking spaces. The noise which tyres would make getting in and out of a track day garage surface if that makes sense

assume the tyres just need scrubbing in so taking it easy up to 50 miles or so on them. Did about 15 on the weekend and my commute is only 1.5 miles each way!
