Hello people! I have a meg 250 and am just after some info regarding water getting into the passenger hidden compartment in the floor. I have notice water is getting in from around the door seal as you can see in the picture. I have had a look at the seal and can’t see anything wrong with it... is there something I’m missing here? could the water be getting in some other way? I know it has been mentioned in other threads but still can’t seem to locate the where it could be coming from. The door looks like it’s sealing properly and the driver side doesn’t have the same issue either. P.s there is no dampness or water under the carpet.
Possibly the door membrane, water trickling inside the window seal, inside the door card and in through the bottom. I had this fixed by using sound deadening foil to seal behind the door speaker and also the gap towards the bottom of the frame.
Take the door card off, and youll see a white polystyrene panel covering a big hole, could be teared from a previous owner, missing or lost it stickyness, i used a hair dryer on mine to heat the glue upand restuck with now further problems.
Your exactly right! I’ve just taken the door card off and the corner was ripped slightly! I’ve just used a hose on the door and water it’s pouring in the car... So if I just seal that up the water should drain out the door the proper way?
Does anyone know the part numbers for these covers? Both mine just need fully replacing as they're ripped to shit
Just check with Renault they want £104 for one of those membranes Anyone know what they're made of so I can just make one?
