Wipers - Valeo or Bosch?

Discussion in 'Exterior & Bodywork' started by probecomp, Nov 19, 2013.

  1. Hmm not ideal.

  2. Not really no, most peoples I'm hoping will have the p1-2 connection like they should do though so might have one spare.

I have contacted Michelin who wernt interested and the eBay seller, but don't see what they can do when my car has the wrong fitting.

  3. Mate, I've got some BL-2 adapters if you need them, pm me your details and I'll post em out for you

    Dave.

  4. Thank you, will PM now mate

Bought some of these for the wifes car as well - I should buy shares!

  6. I fitted mine as well and just like JackoR26 I could only fit to the drivers side. But I messaged the seller on ebay and he kindly put a BL2 connector in the post.

Same here, I've messages the eBay seller as it was advertised to have 2 BL-2 adapters.

  8. Thought mine was a one off, seems not :worried:

Nope, as far as I'm aware facelifts onwards are push fits, the mk3 uses them too, but with a shorter passenger side blade I think. Renault probably shoved on whatever was laying around.

  10. Can you not buy bl2 connectors if the ebay seller refuses to send you one?

I've found some for £1.99 as a backup, not to sure on quality, I'll put up a link when they turn up.

  12. Bosch all the way IMO.

  13. So I'm in the same boat as everyone else with the Michelin wipers on here. They've only provided one BL 2 adaptor. Anyone got a spare?!

I don't think I'm going to get anywhere with the eBay seller. NP-Autoparts. I can't believe I can't find any of the adapters separately.

  15. Just changed to Bosch from Valeo, id say Bosch not only look better, they also perform better too

  16. The seller hasnt replied to my message either. Im still waiting for some that Bumblee kindly sent me and if there are any spare i will pass them on

  17. Thanks mate. Appreciate it. What a pain in the arse. Wishing I'd just replaced with Bosch like I had before....

  18. Finally got a message back from the ebay seller whos sending me an adaptor, so maybe you have had a reply now?

I'm still waiting for the others to arrive

  19. I haven't bothered messaging them. I'll give it a go. Thanks mate

  20. Messaged them and they're sending one out when the stock arrives. Apparently Michelin have ballsed up and not included them when they should've. Watch this space...

  21. just an idea if you want the michelin wipers just go source a set of phase 1 arms from a salvage yard for most likely £5-10.......just an idea

had some feed back from daz about the michelins, got some for my Evo 6 as they runs same size as megane, not tried them yet

  22. Good idea. If they adaptor doesn't turn up I'll probably pop them up for sale and put some Bosch back on. More hassle than its worth to me to start swapping wiper arms!

  23. I can't see the link for the Michelin wiper blades. Can someone put it up or pm it to me please?

    Many thanks and much love.

Got my money back from fleebay, shame as they looked pretty decent. Back to Bosch,

  25. Still waiting for the promised adaptor to arrive....

  26. It's unfortunately true, they aren't being included on the smaller wiper blade, the 18" one I think? There are many tales of these appearing now according to my supplier

  27. Not got mine either, at least i can see clearly out of one side of the windscreen

  28. The eBay seller on mine is just sending me a bl2 adaptor, took a quick email and he didn't seem that surprised!!!!

It's a shame they messed these adaptors up in the packs with the smaller wipers - I must admit my small wiper didn't have one either but with me having hooks it wasn't an issue.

Still mightily impressed with them, they're totally silent and clear water like a good un!

Need to sort something out for the rear now - that ones rubbish at the moment!

Nothing wrong with either IMO, the Michelin seemed great but only had drivers side fitted for a short time.

Your car "should" have the bayonet style fitting which requires the BL-2 adapter, the hook style is fitted to the pre facelift as far as I know.

Best to take yours off and double check what you need as the link above shows hook fitting in the pictures.

I'm another victim of the missing BL2 adaptor!

Just went to fit them and I can only fit the 24" one, like others in this thread.....:worried:

  32. 8 pages of discussion on windscreen wipers. This forum is awesome

  33. Same here I'm another victim of the missing BL-2 connector

Same as everyone else went to fit them and I can only fit the 24" one

  34. Just have a word with the seller, my missing one turned up this morning, just need to remember where I put the other wiper now!

  35. Having read through this thread, I treated myself to a set of Michelin Stealth wiper blades, they are fantastic, very pleased and only £22 on ebay

A few pics, might be useful for anyone thinking of getting them.....

    Thread from the dead!

Pretty disappointed with the Michelin wipers in the end, they started out great but now need replacing after only around 8 months use. Should last a lot more than that IMO.

Think I'll try the Bosch next.

  37. If anyone has any knackered bosch wiper blades, please can I buy the fitting bit off you (push fit type). I cracked mine while "adjusting" my wiper arm. I also have a 6 month old v4" valeo blade that I'd benwilling to swap for a knackered bosch blade

  38. Q - what size for a bosh wiper on the rear of a mk2 225?
