Oil leak from sensor next to coil pack

    Oil leak rh plug resized.jpg I seem to have a slight oil leak from a sensor next to the coil pack/spark plug nearest drivers side anyone know what the sensor is, is it prone to leaking and is it just the bolt out and lift out to check o-ring etc.

    its the vvt solenoid, new seal number is 7700106985

    Is this a easy enough job to do for a amateur.

    yeah, undo the the bolt holding the solenoid, remove solenoid, replace seal then do the bolt back up

    Thanks mate, I'll pop up the dealers and order that and have a look at the new megane 280 while I'm there.

    You have to turn the coil a bit to get the tab out from under it :laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:

    mine was same, just removed solenoid, cleaned inside and gently cleaned rubber seal been dry for over year now
