250 Replacement Lower wishbone bushes

  1. It's been well covered about being able to replace the upper and lower swivel joints and the ball joint but It means bushes don't get replaced as they would if you just replaced the whole wishbone.

Can you buy the OEM bushes?
Or do people just go for the aftermarket parts like the powerflex road or black series?

  2. I have just replaced both my lower wishbones as i couldn't get the old joints out and as you say the rubbers don't get changed, i bought these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FOR-RENA...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 they also come with new anti twist links and these have heavy duty ball joints fitted already.

Now i have a spare set that i can refurb at my leisure.

I also bought a pair of top and bottom joints (heavy duty ones) from them £98 posted, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FOR-RENA...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Hate to think how much all this would have cost from Renault

  3. How have these parts worked out for you so far? Covered many miles on them?

I'm looking at a full suspension refresh, front and back and these would help save a fair few quid.

  4. Isn't anyone making solid spherical bearings as a replacement for the wishbone (lower control arm) bushes ?

  5. All still great, done 5 track days and two track days at the Nurburgring with no issues.

  6. Besides the track days, have you driven much on the road? Do they add extra stiffness or still feel somewhat OEM?

  7. Bought the car in August last year and have done over 9k miles, i drive to and from track days, just don't really use it as a daily.
I have BC coilovers fitted as well and the ride is surprisingly nice, had BC's on my mk2 and they were a lot more harsh, even though the mk3 springs are stiffer.

  9. Exactly that, I had already sourced updated ball joints for the lower control arms, is it possible to just buy the 4 uniballs ?

  10. I may have a source for the bearings for the arms. I will be getting mine done with bearings would there be any interest in these ? I would not be involved I would just Direct you to the company involved they are very well known in the Subaru/Evo scene and a company I have used for engine builds, brakes oils etc etc for years when I was racing the Impreza.

  11. I would be interested definitely
