Hi guys having a gearbox issue with my rs250 Took it to silverstone last month and halfway through the day I lost 5th gear There’s no crunching of any kind it just won’t go in, almost like somethings fallen in the way I can only replicate it when the cars been driven and the oil is warm When cold it slides in no problem I changed the gearbox oil about 3 months ago Anyone have any ideas before I send it off to a specialist? Tia
Excuse my ignorance on gearboxes But will that require going off to a specialist or is it something I can access without cracking it open? Cheers
Ahh fair enough Dear fix? Is that common on these? I struggled to find anyone who’s had issues with a 250 gearbox
Not sure how much it will cost, will also depend on who's doing it and where. There have been a number of problems with the mk3 gearbox's, mainly bearings are a problem on these, do a search on here, think there has been a few replaced while under warranty, one i believe with 24k miles on the clock.
