Hi folks, had car out a wee run today and noticed the clutch is slipping after 3k rpm but not badly. Just ever so slightly then back to normal and not all the time. Only happened a couple of times but didn't thrash it so It didn't get worse. Cars been parked up for 3-4 weeks as I sold my seats and was waiting for replacements. Any ideas? mine does this..always worse when the car has been sat a while. And especially if you try a fast upshift when the car is cold.Release bearing getting sticky.
Guessing it will gradually get worse or should it get better with more use? Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk
Of course the more slips more it wears so no going backwards sadly, probably best get in and should really have dmf replace same time
Yeah I just meant if release bearing is sticking is it likely to free off but no worries. Typical.. Just after I've bought new seats, harnesses, lowering springs and a rear cage haha. Not really using the car at the moment so not a major issue. Cheers guys [emoji1303] Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk
mines been like it a long time. always worse the longer its been sat.The clutch come back as everthing gets warm. But you have to be careful when its cold,as you change up and the clutch wont come back in. if you let the clutch in slower..its ok..but obviously you dont want to keep doing this. I have just bought a new clutch/slave and DMF kit from LUK to fit.
I'll guarantee if its slipping now and then itll be the DMF at fault. Your best getting it checked as if it is the DMF it could be nasty if it decided to give way.
Clutch seems fine tbh ie biting point etc just noticed it slipped once on way to the Mrs parents then once on way back. Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk
I had exactly the same with mine in December. Typically, it started just after the car was remapped. Felt like I'd be able to drive round it for a few thousand miles, but decided to just get it sorted. New clutch kit, DMF and slave at a Renault Sport specialist came on at around £1k. Car was on around 48k miles.
Is there a conversion kit from dmf to a normaal single mass one? Or is this a no go? Verstuurd vanaf mijn HUAWEI VNS-L31 met Tapatalk
And does it affect the driving? Vibration of the engine? Verstuurd vanaf mijn HUAWEI VNS-L31 met Tapatalk
