Problem with decat

  1. Hi all I have an r26 which has a decat fitted. The other day the decat pipe became unattached from the turbo manifold. Will I need to remove a lot of things to get this reattached? And what studs/ nuts to I need?

    Has it just come loose, or has the flange broken off ???

    If it's just come loose a bit of paste and tighten the bolts up again, there m8 if you have lost some
     
  3. I had this happen to me. A design oversight with nearly all aftermarket decats or high-flow cat down pipes is that they don’t have the brackets that the OEM one has and therefore all of the force is on the bolts attaching it to the turbo. On my 225 it was reattached with captive nuts and loctite. With my 275 I had brackets attached to a CGR down pipe like OEM.
