Yeah - plan to keep everything even that small though so I can sell on with the car in a few years. I prefer to sell the cars I have as bone stock as I can
New 1.11 pads and disks. Larger diameter than standard so spacers fitted to move the calipers out a bit as well
Past week ready for MOT. New Swivel joint, Tie Rod end, Anti rotation Link, Drop link. Will be doing the same on the other side. But the joint was shot to pieces on the passenger side. Also gearbox oil and Engine oil to be done in the next day or so and then the dreaded MOT!
I just love the way that mat black plasti-dip looks on that yellow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I actually thought to leave it chromed so it can match the exhaust tip...but i can try to see if it will look cooler
I finally put my diamonds back on after spraying them. They already had covers on them but they had gotten really tatty. I pulled the whole badge of each end and just sprayed over them. Really easy and now looks much better again.
Not neccesarily what I've done today but over the past week....... Replaced the standard suspension with BC Racing BR Coilovers Replaced all brake discs Fitted new Ferodo brake pads front and rear Changed the cambelt Full service 4 new PS4 tyres New track rod ends New CV boot New seals (camshaft cover, injectors) Fitted airtec intercooler Think that's enough for now.
It feels like the acceleration is cleaner (if that makes sense) plus the pick up from a standing start is much better. Not entirely comfortable with the suspension set up from the off as it's fairly firm (it's been set up for track) so may get that dialled down a bit but..... Absolutely love it. Had to choose between paying the bucks to sort it out or selling it and starting again. Spent the money :-) Next up is clutch, flywheel, injectors and air intake by the end of the year. Then hybrid turbo, new exhaust and then remap (unsure on stage 1 or 2). Then it'll feel like a new car. Keeping the exterior as stock and debadging it.
As you lot are always doing some nice detail touches to your cars I thought I would join in and spruce up my engine a bit and give it a bit of a polish.....
Left it at the garage for new fuel pipes to be fitted. Yet another common/ridiculously time wasting job on the 225
Had my white wheels refurbed by Essex Wheel Conpany. £280 They were in a shocking state - now so clean and shiny and white I want to so rude things to them.
Bout 70 quid It's all clipped through other bits behind that have to come out first Massive difference though.
I was thinking of putting it on the other side for 1 more trackday. Middle should be good to the cords
Have you got the resistors installed? I have the guide here on what needs doing, Mine go on this week
