Finally fitted an air filter to the 265, a ram air filter with hose etc made up. Wow what an absolute nightmare the battery tray turned out to be! Anyway on full acceleration sounds good, recirc at gear change or let of, and throaty through revs. But when driving normally ou het a hell of a lot of air noise and recirc at lower acceleration, is that right?
Yep perfectly normal bud. Fitted a RamAir cone myself at the weekend, and I totally agree it's a right ball ache getting the old box out! Well worth it for the sound though!
I put one in mine and it sounded shit IMO, too loud when driving normally. Sounds good when driving quick though.
