Water in spark plug hole!!!

  1. Almost had a heart attack this morning. Still searching for my dreaded misfire issue.

Decided to remove blow off valve and return to stock intake setup in hopes that it is causing the issue.

My eye caught the #1 coil and there was massive buildup of some oxidised something.

Pulled the coil and water came pouring out of it. Looked into the hole and it was half filled with water. My heart sank, obviously some kind of leak somewhere and this is gonna be expensive.

Dried it out to pull the plug but the plug is dry....

Looked up toward the bonnet and saw the window sprayer T joint... It's fucking broken, perished by the heat of the engine.

Plugged in a new T and now all is good. Gonna go to the shops later and we'll see if there is still a misfire. This might have been leaking for a loong time but not heavily and now it finally became so bad I finally saw it.

    Holding thumbs! 06336b3541bc14215607e8485c41bbb6.jpg fe0e3c8fa2428d7c33095e7bca609e1e.jpg 859a9d77ed0507748d7e2f345dc2f0a1.jpg d13c1a0cb9ef09dd69e14dc81dece8a9.jpg 571bc9152e3eabedee165795f88beff2.jpg c5e65349aa73abae860970e853518313.jpg

  4. Funny u say about the old t-piece snapping, noticed mines snapped at all three points about a week ago but seeing this has finally made me just order up a new one from eBay,haven't had any issues because of it though which is lucky.

  5. Do you use your washer a lot? Use mine daily due to living next to a mill which makes fine corn dust cover my windshield.

You're engine cover on or removed?

  6. Good little spot this, as the age now starts creeping up on these and with the plastic connectors immediately above hot engine especially if removed bonnet lagging they must now be getting nice and brittle and bound to fail. Doesn’t help it’s also right above coil pack either.

  7. Never really use the washer at all tbh hence why I haven't bothered sorting it lol.

And also yes I have removed the engine cover, anything to stop excess heat getting trapped under bonnet.
