What have you done to your Car today?

Discussion in 'General Chat' started by Strell2, Jul 23, 2013.

  1. Yeah - plan to keep everything even that small though so I can sell on with the car in a few years. I prefer to sell the cars I have as bone stock as I can

  2. New 1.11 20180819_211022.jpg pads and disks. Larger diameter than standard so spacers fitted to move the calipers out a bit as well

  3. Past week ready for MOT. New Swivel joint, Tie Rod end, Anti rotation Link, Drop link. Will be doing the same on the other side. But the joint was shot to pieces on the passenger side.

Also gearbox oil and Engine oil to be done in the next day or so and then the dreaded MOT!

  14. Spray the exhaust tip to match the diamond :tongueout:

  18. I finally put my diamonds back on after spraying them. They already had covers on them but they had gotten really tatty. I pulled the whole badge of each end and just sprayed over them. Really easy and now looks much better again.

  19. Not neccesarily what I've done today but over the past week.......

Replaced the standard suspension with BC Racing BR Coilovers
    Replaced all brake discs
Fitted new Ferodo brake pads front and rear
    Changed the cambelt
    Full service
    4 new PS4 tyres
    New track rod ends
    New CV boot
    New seals (camshaft cover, injectors)
    Fitted airtec intercooler

    Think that's enough for now.

  20. Must feel like a new car now!

  21. It feels like the acceleration is cleaner (if that makes sense) plus the pick up from a standing start is much better.

Not entirely comfortable with the suspension set up from the off as it's fairly firm (it's been set up for track) so may get that dialled down a bit but.....

    Absolutely love it.

Had to choose between paying the bucks to sort it out or selling it and starting again.

    Spent the money :-)

Next up is clutch, flywheel, injectors and air intake by the end of the year.

Then hybrid turbo, new exhaust and then remap (unsure on stage 1 or 2).

Then it'll feel like a new car.

Keeping the exterior as stock and debadging it.

  22. engine tidy.jpg As you lot are always doing some nice detail touches to your cars I thought I would join in and spruce up my engine a bit and give it a bit of a polish.....

  23. oops

  24. What engine is that?

  25. No clue.....looks awful

2JZ I'd say. One of the icons

  27. Left it at the garage for new fuel pipes to be fitted. Yet another common/ridiculously time wasting job on the 225

  28. Had my white wheels refurbed by Essex Wheel Conpany.
    £280
They were in a shocking state - now so clean and shiny and white I want to
    so rude things to them.

  29. New splitter
