Maintenance Wash

  1. Thought I would share the results of my maintenance wash with you guys.

Currently protecting the car is Colletine No.845 Insulator wax.

But on a weekly bases it's washed with Chemical Guys Gloss Workz.

Nothing to crazy, 2 bucket wash and the quick detailer once finished.

  3. How long does it last? I use Collinite 476 carnuba wax which lasts 6-9 months for me, but is a proper bitch to buff off

Either lasts well around 6 months.

I only applied one thin layer.

  5. I have been looking for a new wax, as mine is nearly out, have just ordered some 845 in the bottle, sounds good

  6. It'll last years (the bottle I mean!). It's a great wax, really easy to apply. It's not really glossy but is definitely durable (6 months at least) which makes it great for winter protection.

  7. Yeah just pop the bottle in a bucket/sink of hot water. Give it a good shake and when you apply do it in a nice thin coat. By the time yii have got round the car the first panel will be ready for buffing off.

As said above its very easy to apply and don't be put off with all the scare mongering online with the don't do this and don't do that's you will find.

  9. That would benefit immensely with some 265 black headlights

  10. I would love some mate

It's something on the 'To Do' list.
Debating about satin black roof and sunstrip etc . . .

  11. Mine has gloss black roof from factory and believe me it makes such a difference, looks great. I tried fitting a sunstrip twice and fucked both up lol but having another go soon. Will look nice as long as it’s the right height. I’d do both if I were you

  12. Yeah its definitely something I am looking into.

As for the ride height I am looking into lowering springs and whats people flavour etc.

I will start a new thread about them as don't want to detract from cleaning.

So we have finally had some rain and though I would see how the 1 layer of Colletine No.845 is holding up.

The beading is not as tight as I would like. I only applied one thin layer around 3 and a half month ago. We did go on a family road trip yesterday so this rain is sitting on a coat of road grime and muddy rain water.

I will give it a clean and re capture the beading and water run off when doing this.

  13. Please don't start a "what springs should I buy" thread covered 100's of times and nothing has changed
