R26 Airbag light and spanner on - pretensioner fired

  1. Hi there.

Am after some help.. here's the story so far.

Car hit a big hole which fired the passenger pretensioner. - I've replaced this with a 225 item off eBay that has definitely not fired.

Airbag warning light and spinner light are on and check airbag shows on LCD display. - sent airbag ecu away for crash data removal. Lights still on.

Friendly garage fault code read - DF210 Pretensioner open circuit. - cleared fault with non CLIP tool but code persists.

I'm a bit dubious of booking into Renault for a 60 quid clear of the codes for it to do nothing. Can anyone offer advice on what needs doing to clear down the code. Underseat wiring has never caused me any issue, as above this is after the pre tensioner going off.

If anyone knows the ohm resistance to fit in place of the pretenioners I may try this to see if it works as a temporary fix which could point to ebay pre tensioner being no good but I'm not sure how it could be.

    Many thanks.
    Henry.

  2. I am using 3.9 ohms resistors, loads available from eBay.

  3. Thanks, ordered some. Will try and connect these up to both driver and passenger pretensioner wiring harness and then get my local to clear the faults again.

If this has the same result i.e. still showing a fault and warning lights on I assume its something to do with the airbag ecu being locked or such and needs CLIP to sort but I am unsure.

Anyone know of garages with CLIP that aren't robbing main dealers?
