What is the defacto/cheapest way to do this these days?

  2. Why would you want to do this is the more relevant question here...

Very irrelevant question - why does anybody modify anything? Because they can or want to.

  4. Mate of mine has just had mk3 discs and calipers put on his mk2. Im sure he got them from a guy in Liverpool as they needed slight modification. Look so much better with the bigger disc

  5. Contact George at RTR he, can get hold of the callipers new from Renault for a really good price, Renault themselves were on back order when I spoke to Paul at RPD. Then contact John at Mechlam Precision engineering for brackets, discs spigots and modified discs, that will be the easiest route.

Pad choice is your own preference, I opted for PFC Z.
In addition as preventative maintenance, I’d suggest stainless bleed nipples and mr pink brake pins.

Again brake fluid is preference, RBF600/660 or Castrol SRF.

Your standard brake lines should fit the callipers already, the goodridge braided lines do, however if running hel lines the tab that retains the banjo on back of the calliper needs filing slightly.

Let me know if you need to know anything else.
