Booked my R26 in with Chris at EFI Parts for a custom remap in April. Looking forward to seeing how his map compares to the KTR map that's currently on it. Also looking forward to having a fully working fuel gauge again as KTR never mapped the 630cc injectors in correctly...

After the palaver I had yesterday with my swivel bearings on the R26, I thought I’d try and do something a little more productive. As it was still up on axle stands, I replaced my lower engine mount with a standard febi part......wish I’d have got a polyurethane insert for it though.....It feels like there’s too much engine movement when coming on/off throttle and the new mount has only made a negligible difference. (Already done the gearbox mount but the top mount and upper stabiliser still to do). I still wasn’t happy with the last couple of days efforts so I decided it was finally time to replace my PATHETIC horn. I’ve not pipped at any knobheads for almost a year ha ha ha - It was just too embarrassing! [emoji85] So, I’d picked one up from the scrappy a while back. I was very impressed with how easy the bumper was to remove. It was a bit fiddly to get back on but still straightforward. I was concerned when I realised that my meg had a double horn and the one from the scrapyard (std spec meg, few years older) was a single. Anyway, it swapped over without any problem and is waaaaaaay better! Watch out, knobheads!
one day i will actually change the same crap stereo out of my R26!.. truly awful stereo ,that re tunes itself for no apparent reason!
Like Leigh my horn packed up, I also think the oem one is rubbish so decided on fitting twin air horns. Less than £30 from Halfords. They work a treat, nice and loud! Watch out middle lane hoggers. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
Been doing the same sort of thing. Make a guage holder out the original housing Still a bit of sanding needs doing then I'll get it flocked
Picked it up from Mark Black, new Clutch, solid flywheel, driveshaft, hub bearings, oil and filter. Expensive day out.
I LOVE doing this...... the Mrs thinks I’m mental! I use a satin black rattle can on the areas I can’t get to come up. I’m gradually working my way through mine after previous owner’s years of neglect. Yours is looking good! [emoji1303]
