Hi I'm new to the rs scene and got a few questions for you experts. What turbos are on these and there power capabilities? Standard engine capabilities? Injector/fuel pump size? What power are people seeing from say cat back induction kit and mapped? Also what is this ktr renflash like. Thanks
Hi I have just purchased a 2011 Megane RS250. I will get a thread up on here with full spec soon. To give you an idear I have the following mods Large Pro alloy front intercooler Center exhaust box delete and decat Forrge recirc valve Induction kit RS Tuning custom remap Made 321bhp on the rollers once set up and mapped at RS Tuning.
That's a big power gain with very minimal mods. What are the standard turbos, injectors, pump capable of?
Not too sure really. From what I have read the standard engines are good for 400+ bhp with hybrid turbo and better fueling. The 275 from what I understand is the same car with different map? Will dig my graph out as torque figure is pretty impressive too.
So a 250 with 630 injectors, induction kit, full system with decat, hybrid turbo, front mount intercooler and a map, do you think 380bhp is around what you’d get?
yes. Mine is running all above but its been turned down to 345 360 for clutch reliability but i know alot of people run standard clutches higher
They’re providing and fitting everything minus the airtec intercooler that’s already on it. ITG induction kit. Went with scorpion resonated exhaust and decat. Had a ktec full system on a clio 172 that was non resonated and it was horrible on motorways. Thing that concerns me most is how you keep the front end from spinning. On greasy roads it’s bad enough standard.
mmm its pretty nuts on spinning on standard road tyres. semi slicks in the dry its alot less. Couldn't imagine 380 but thats just me ha!
Hi Guy can someone whose had there megane Renault Sport tuned suggest a specialist in the west midlands area thanks
Yes quite a bit is different on this cars engine! Forged internals, bigger turbo, intercooler, fuel system, injectors etc.....
Just had a second look at the map, which is very progressive. I run around 345 peak torque on my mk2, but nowhere near the same hp. In the dry it’s fantastic, but it can be a struggle in the wet. Do you have any other videos?
Well driving it seems fine and power delivery is progressive as you say so not a problem, but tbh the only time I really got to drive the car properly was a couple of weeks ago at Donington( car was running 400hp then as needed Megane 3, MAP sensors for the full beans!). Anyway it was my first time with the car really. I bought it about 8 months ago but never really drove it as I've been sorting things the previous owners didn't sort out properly and therefore had to start from scratch with engine rebuild, new gearbox, new turbos, new clutch new exhaust etc etc. Car hopefully should be sound now. I bought it as track car to drive to track and then back again. Only thing I will be doing very soon is installing a Gripper LSD and we're good to go! As I said first time was a couple of weeks ago at Donington. My first time with the car and my first time at Donington so great combo! Here are a couple of vids from there:
It’s an impressive car, but see what you mean about getting a tougher LSD. The wheel spin you get in 3rd is outrageous [emoji23]
