Hi All, My Rs does not have the RS monitor function. I was advise to purchase a ScanGauge2 which would tell me the same thing as the RS monitor does. I don't seem to see oil temp option within the ScanGauge. Has anyone used one of these? and if so what the feedback on them?
The scangauge can only read what sensors are available to it, on the Megane there is only a low oil pressure switch essentially an alarm, this can not measure pressure or temperature to give a reading. I have mine set up for boost, intake temp, voltage and cooling water temp. I did try to write an x gauge for afr but the standard sensor is narrow band and it didn’t work
yes correct, not actual oil temp gauge, oil is based on algorithm from engine temp, water temp and intake temp
I had to send mine back to be updated to the latest software so check you are on that? It included the x-gauge update too. I was also wondering if you could get a digital oil pressure/temp sender unit to talk to the scan gauge? Same thoughts on a wideband without having additional gauges
