250 Mk3 short shifter mod thread?

yes long enough for nut, be sure use Loctite. In foto ball on right is short shift locaton

 

Can you perhaps mark the exact position in millimeters on the picture?

 

Nope as don’t know but diy by popping cable connector off existing ball (with open ended spanner)and push new ball stud into loose cable socket then put drop paint on stud and align Cable and stud so it’s clear of old stud and mark the place to drill through on the gear selector arm

 

20mm in from the original fixing, you will also have to cut the thread off of the bolt close by as it interferes you will see once you try to fit the cable back on

dont forget locktite, will be right pain if nut falls off

 

I drilled and tapped mine and then lock nutted it
