225 Decat mount

  1. Hi,
    I have a question,how to mount in my 225 decat,what i need to remove,can you help with short instructions.
    Thank you i realy need your help.

    Hi Victor
    If it's any thing like the mk2 then up on axle stands, drain the gearbox oil, remove the hub on the right hand side, there is a plate that holds the drive shaft bearing in, you have to remove the lower bolt, but just loosen the top by a couple of turns then pull the plate off, pull the drive shaft out.
    best to remove the top and lower dog bone mounts, so that then allows you to swivel the engine on the other mounts, then undo the cat bolts, you can rock the engine either way to access the bolts and give you a bit more space to get the cat out.

  4. Hi,thanks for the instructions,it's megane Mk2,is it a mandatory to remove the top mounts

    you only need to remove the dog mounts, the one at the rear on top and the one underneath, leave the gearbox and the main top mount in place, then you can rock the engine forwards and backwards

    Now i have problem with emissions light

    That's strange, it can be mapped out or adjusted what ever they do :laughing:
