She's home already taken the f1 stickers off as I'm not a fan! Sabelt harnesses out and being replaced with my black schroths, looking for some better seats and wheels. Think the car will benefit from 225 inlet and throttle body as the r26 gets confused with the 250 ones so I'll be on hunt for them too Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
De stickered the car (some will freak out that I removed f1 stickers haha) sold the corbeau clubsports and sabelt harnesses and have some recaro profi spg and schroth harnesses to go in. Rear needs to be painted and I need to fit my a048 Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Got some brand new seat covers and cushions for the spg's so just waiting for them to arrive. Also fitted some black projector headlights and my #trackobsession sun strip. Gaz golds with topmounts should be turning up very soon and managed to source some 197 wheels with slicks. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
New recaro covers and cushions fitted to my spgs, just waiting for the back cushion from Germany. Also set of 17x8 Oz alleggerita purchased Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Airtec intercooler and forge boost pipes ordered and old shit off and alleggerita on, suspension is about a week away Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
New on top old on bottom. Sooo much neater. Oz on just waiting for my new suspension. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
My OCD is kicking in lol silver wheel bolts on black wheels. Cool build though, shame photobucket spoiled the megane thread, I could of learned a lot
Today we at TRACKOBSESSION ran a power to weight shoot out day at AMD Essex with a decent turn out with Brown and Greesons doing the weighing. Unfortunately the Dyno broke 5 cars before me so I cant say what power she run but the car weighed 1198kg so 198kg lighter then my Megane which was 1396kgand should be roughly the same power and torque. Suspension finally sorted just needs geo now. Had my throttle body adapter plate made to allow fitting the 225 throttle body to the 250 inlet. Just need to figure out what wires go where now when swapping to a 225 plug. Any ideas? Pin 1 = G4 Pin 2 = G3 Pin 3 = M4 Pin 4 = M3 Pin 6 = D3 Pin 5 = G2 Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
Loving the Clio bro! Will be interesting to hear your reviews after the work is done and you’ve been on track. Should be a belter! Off topic slightly... on your meg, do you know the setup you ran on the KW Clubsports? Ie rebound/compression? I have mine full soft at the min for the road but with summer round the corner and a couple of track days in mind I want to have a tinker with them. You seem to have spent plenty of time on track (and the ‘ring where it needs to be pretty soft iirc?). Any advice would be great. Cheers
Cheers mate, I'll have to have a dig see if I can find the setting for you mate Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
Soooo close to being done now, given the paint a quick going over as I literally have no time atm to get it spot on Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
So had the suspension geo done today, new rbf600 brake fluid and fixed the seat to the mounts with no runners. She feels goooood Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
What's it like compared to the 250? I had a clio 200 which I loved but it always felt really twitchy on the back end and nowhere near as stable as the 265, what's it like with all the extra power?
Passenger seat in, runners removed from drivers side so I sit lower and packed ready for tomorrow Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
So snetterton was an absolute wash out yesterday but not did i have fun!!! Clio was absolutely unreal. I couldn't get any form of heat in to the federal 595rsr even with the pressures up to 40psi to get the tread blocks hot so zero grip. I didn't mess around with the damping just let it all on the middle setting and just enjoyed the car. Had issue with her getting hot and re bled the cooling system and after that absolutely no dramas. Lost throttle maybe 3-4 times during the entire day including getting there and back but again only when I came to a standstill so maybe I can live with that for a while. She held her own against 400+ bhp cars on road tyres (which you definitely needed yesterdsy) I'm a happy man. Very hard to compare to Megane due to conditions but feels very similar. http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5abc9ac5dbc5d/VID_32461025_132748_565.mp4 Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
Gave the car a much needed clean before heading off to castle Combe for the spring action day with TrackObsession. Had 20min session booked and got out and had 3/4 laps before my engine temps went through the roof and had to come in, car cruises and sits in traffic and holds perfect temps perfectly so maybe coolant needs another bleed Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
Got round to fitting powerflex upper and lower mount inserts along with lower dog bone mount and new coolant bottle...must say the car vibrates a lot my then my Megane did with engine mount insert and vibratecnic dog bone mount but hey track car. The old mounts had seen better days Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
So the Clio was a riot around the nurburgring this weekend feels very similar to the Megane but I feel it's more nimble and gets out the corners better however the Megane has the better high speed stability. PBS pads worked well for the money so definitely a brand I'd use again. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
The Clio looks fantastic! Had my first Nürburgring experience recently and loved it. What an epic place.
Well I bought her back [emoji85] she had a lot of the go faster stuff taken off so it has stock suspension, stock interior, stock wheels and stock cooler. Still has the downpipe, map, intake, pads, braided lines and xenons. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
