  1. Are the cook sports really this good on the r26 the only thing I don't like on mine is the arch gap at least an inch too big IMO I don't want to ruin my handling so was looking for people's opinions I've read through a lot of threads and not seen much feedback for the 26 the only reason I'm asking is they say on there fb page they should be back in stock in two weeks i can't really afford them ATM but I believe they're pretty hard to get hold of so mite be worth stretching
    Thanks in advance guys

On track they transformed a 225f1 I was helping a mate learn oulton in. The mid corner balance is so much more better for me and the progressive damping is miles ahead too. Power earlier as as the cars a lot more settled and they kill a lot of the jiggling at 9/10s.

They are apparently stiff on the road but that wouldn't bother me as the meg is damped well.

The drop is really impressive too. Low enough to look really mean and focused but not so low you rip bits off and look like you've broken the car.

    A worthwhile investment.

    Oh hai.

Yes they transformed the ride of the car completely. On track they were superb and my thoughts of spending loads of money on coilovers are far in the past now. I honestly don't think I need anything other than the Cooksport springs on them for the amount of track days I do and plan to do this year. Maybe if I was to turn mine into a proper track car I would consider spending a ton on some ASTs.

On the road they handle very well. Stiffen up the car when going around a corner or roundabout making the car feel planted. The ride isn't that much worse than the standard cup springs I had on before. I now have to drive down a horribly bumpy road each day to get to work and I thought the springs were making the drive worse, but then after going down it in a BMW I realised that that gives a similar ride down the same road.

IMO they are the best thing to add to your Megane for the money. The best thing is, if you buy them and don't get along with them (I'd be shocked if you didn't), they resell on the forums for pretty much the same rate. In fact I'm sure a set sold on the other site the other month, where the seller sold them for the same price as Cooksport do them, and they sold at that price because Cooksport were out of stock.

  4. My R26 is a daily runabout/family car. Cooksport springs improved it no end...love em.

  5. I am in need of replacing my springs soon, was tempted by the cooksport springs but I was put off by thoughts of it making the car even more rattly than it is!

So the consensus is that it doesn't really make the day-to-day ride comfort much worse?

No not at all. I've not once got out the car and thought "Fuck that was a harsh ride".

  7. Agree with everyone above, amazing transformation yet you still keep the ride comfort. Also cuts the arch gap and makes the car sit perfect height IMO.

  8. I think you lor may have twisted my arm lol i think ill buy rhem when they come out will be a while till i can get em on do i have to het the suspension tweaked to allow for the drop reset camber etc ?

  9. Sorry guys bump anyone know ^

  10. No mate, just get your tracking sorted so all wheels are aligned.
the dampers will work fine as they are.

  11. Cool that what i like to hear cheers

  12. So the standard dampers are ok?
